Celeste Sinclaire - Registered Psychologist
Unlike individual therapy, which focuses on the individual, relationship therapy focuses on the couple. We seek to understand the relationship, what's been happening and decide what to do next.
Relationships are hard. Many couples face problems and stresses that can threaten the stability of their connections. When communication is problematic or blocked, stresses in your relationship can build.
EFT is designed to address distress affecting couples' love and bonding processes. This therapy is effective for relationships affected by fear, anger, loss of trust, or a sense of betrayal. EFT is also an effective form of therapy for dealing with the loss of a child and the effect of illness on a relationship.
My training in level 1 and 2 enables me to provide professional therapeutic interventions. These help you understand the dynamics of your relationship so you can make changes in order to strengthen ties with your partner.
The Latin word “imago”—meaning “image”—refers to the “unconscious image of familiar love.” By investigating the early childhood experiences of the couple, I can understand the source of friction in adult relationships. I employ this therapy to transform conflict into opportunities for growth and healing. Working with couples, I change the conversation from blame and reactivity to understanding and empathy.
I offer couple counselling services in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
