Grief is a Natural Response to Loss

You Are Not Alone

It is normal to feel shocked, anger, disbelief, guilt and profound sadness when you have a loss. There are so many different types of losses in life: the death of a loved one, the ending of a relationship or the loss of a pet, to name a few. The journey of grief is one of the most painful experiences we go through. Life is full of loss and change; we are not given the tools to deal with it as a society. It can feel like a lonely journey, so reaching out for support from a grief psychologist is beneficial.

Grief Therapy

I believe that going through grief can be one of the most spiritually transforming experiences, and that experience brings us into wholeness.

Grief is Personal

Each person suffers grief differently. There is little that is predictable except the pain. We work together to understand the unique manifestations of your grief.

Treatment is Non-Judgemental

I offer safe, non-judgemental grief and loss counselling sessions. Seeking help requires courage. I offer help and a way through this painful and challenging process.

Grief is a Five-Step Process

The grieving cycle consists of these steps: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally, acceptance. Exploring and working through each of these steps in therapy leads to healing.

Grief is the Price We Pay For Love

Finding a way to process your grief and think about moving forward in life can seem daunting.  Avoiding grief does not work and just delays the pain.

I specialize in grief counselling and provide a compassionate approach to helping you through your grief.  I help you express your emotions, support you in challenging your beliefs and help you make meaning out of the loss.  Expressive Art Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) or therapeutic visualization can also help the healing process.

It can take courage to delve into the grief, but there are gifts to be gained and going on the grief journey can be transformative.
